Overview

Corbet Design + Build was hired to oversee the construction management of an approximately 11,000-square-foot retail center, which sits on 1.5 acres of land on Wheatland Road in South Dallas.

Strategy

  • Construction management on a completely underdeveloped site
  • Complete the project by a strict deadline
  • Coordinate all utilities and utility services
  • Achieve a major site remediation

Results

Corbet Design + Build completed the retail center after only five short months of construction in August 2014. Despite time constraints and complexities of the project, including entitlements and local design restraints, the Corbet team successfully produced a functionally and financially viable project on time. Corbet Design + Build planned, coordinated and controlled the project from beginning through completion while meeting the client’s requirements. They also achieved a major site remediation by managing and coordinating all of the utilities and utility services, which serve as a major infrastructure to the site and other surrounding areas. Bryan and his team even coordinated the utilities for the City of Dallas for a cross-site use with adjacent retail.
